PERSONALITY/FIT: To understand Adult Ben you must understand the Child. Ben grew up as The Fat Kid of the group. On the heavier side, bullied often, picked on and generally abused in a way that made him very timid and shy. Like most chunky kids, he tried not to stick out, shrinking back into the background as best he could.
Since his childhood he has grown up much more confident and matured a lot. He worked hard to shed the pounds and gain abs, which even when his friends joked about his new looks, he still shied away from it all. Still timid in a way. Once scared over weight issues, always scarred.
Ben is a loyal friend, tough and intelligent. He grew up to be an architect. Loyalty is important to Ben because he was never used to having friends, and though growing up he's successful, he's still short on friends, so he never really grows out of that. Once a friend though, he will do what he can to protect you. He is reliable and dependable, sweet and kind.
As a kid, when faced with a moral problem he tended to go with the crowd or group, though he wasn't scared to put his foot down if it meant standing up for what he believed was right. This too has grown with him, though he's faster to stand up for what is right now.
Ben is the type to give his shirt off his own back to those in need. Befriend him and you've made friend for life. Cross him and he will become a thorn in ones side for some time. You don't mess with the people he's closest to.
As for the fit into this game, he'd fight the government at first, wanting to get back to the fight as I'd be taking him from part way through the battle with It. He'd fight at first, and I want to have him dragged to his apartment when he gets here. Once he learns more about the place he will settle down and settle in. I think he could he good friends to some of the older folk, and look out for the younger crowd.
POWERS:
He has no real powers displayed in the movies, and though I know the books hint to more in each of the kids, I am going with a completely ass random power for him.
Earth Elementalist:
He can control and move Earth, Soil, Dirt, Mud and so on with his mind. A bit like a Earth Bender, so long as he is of sound mind he can shape earth elements into whatever he desires. It's a good architecture like power for some things, but also playful for other things. A stomp to the ground and a slab of concrete or dirt can jump up and do as he pushes it. If he gets really good at it he could shape armor for himself to wear out o stones. Or call rocks and stones to him to throw in a rock fight. The possibilities are endless.
The down side is that if he uses it too much he gets headaches. The more he practices, the better though.
